El mítico artista Frank Zappa ya tiene estrenado el documental sobre su vida y ahora sabemos que pronto será puesta a la venta la banda sonora del mismo.
Se lanzará a través de los sellos Zappa Records y UMe en 2021 en un formato de 5 vinilos LP y 3 CD. 'Zappa Original Motion Picture Soundtrack', que es como se llamará esta banda sonora, también está disponible en versión digital.
La edición de 3 CD está programada para el 19 de febrero y la caja de 5 LP para el 7 de mayo, que serán discos en color negro de 180 gramos. También habrá una edición limitada de vinilo ahumado de 180 gramos exclusivamente a través de las tiendas oficales de Zappa, uDiscover y Sound of Vinyl.
Esta banda sonora incluye 12 grabaciones inéditas de The Vault, que incluyen actuaciones de Whiskey A Go-Go en 1968, Fillmore West en 70 y la famosa actuación de Zappa de Dancin 'Fool en el programa 'Saturday Night Live' en 1978.
La banda sonora abarca el extenso catálogo de Zappa con 25 canciones adicionales de su incomparable e influyente carrera, desde su seminal álbum doble debut de 1966 con Mothers of Invention, Freak Out! , hasta el lanzamiento final de su vida, The Yellow Shark de 1993 , un álbum orquestal en vivo interpretado por el Ensemble Modern en Europa en 1992.
